Our club was founded in 29th September of 2012 in Thermi, Thessaloniki with love and passion for Crete so as not to exclude the people that have no Cretan origins but they love Crete and also to cover the need and support of people of Thermi as there wasn’t any other alike club in the suburbs of Eastern Thessaloniki. “It was the southern part of Greece that missed from Thermi. There were the dances and the songs that missed from the cultural celebrations from the area.”
The Club is financially independent without external support in its own private place and had consecrate the famous “companionship” with cretan traditional music, songs, dances and food which is open to anyone who love Crete. In addition our Club disposes a variety of handmade cretan costumes for men, women and children which are made by the members of the dancing groups with their love. It has also music lessons for people with special abilities, lesson of traditional cretan music instruments like lyre, mandolin and lute and finally traditional cretan dance lessons for children and adults with male and female figure lessons.
The Club has standard and successful annual events in Thermi. The constitutional purpose of the club is the preservation of the cultural heritage of Crete, the preservation and spread of its traditions all over the world.
